Pork Torta

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Season the pork shoulder with the garlic, onion, cumin, and oregano.
  3. Place the pork in a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 2 hours, or until the pork is tender and can be easily shredded with a fork.
  4. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, shred the pork using two forks.
  5. Spread the refried beans on the bottom half of each bolillo roll.
  6. Top the beans with the shredded pork, avocado slices, pickled jalapenos, and crumbled queso fresco.
  7. Place the top half of the bolillo roll on top of the fillings. Serve the tortas warm.
