Pork Ramen
This flavorful pork ramen is made with tender pork, noodles, and a rich broth.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Nori sheets - 2, shredded
- Bean sprouts - 1 cup
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Soft-boiled eggs - 2
- Ramen noodles - 8 ounces
- Ginger - 1-inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Chicken broth - 4 cups
- Pork belly - 1/2 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the pork belly and cook for 5 minutes to remove any impurities. Drain and rinse the pork belly.
- In the same pot, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, mirin, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the sesame oil. Cook the pork belly for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned and crispy. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Divide the cooked ramen noodles between two bowls. Pour the hot broth over the noodles.
- Top each bowl with sliced pork belly, soft-boiled eggs, green onions, bean sprouts, and shredded nori sheets.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
