Pommes Anna
Pommes Anna is a classic French dish of sliced, layered potatoes cooked in a very large amount of melted butter.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - 150g, melted
- Potatoes - 1.5 kg, peeled and thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 180C/350F.
- Brush a layer of butter on the bottom of a ovenproof dish.
- Arrange the potato slices on the dish, layering them in a circular pattern. Brush each layer with melted butter and season with salt and pepper.
- Continue layering and seasoning until all the potatoes and butter are used.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
- Let the Pommes Anna cool for a few minutes before cutting into wedges and serving.
