Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and honey. Let it sit for 5 minutes, or until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Stir the mixture until a dough forms, then transfer it to a floured surface.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Press it down to form a rectangle shape.
  8. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the dough and sprinkle with dried oregano and sea salt.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
