Orange Chicken Stir Fry
This delicious orange chicken stir fry is made with tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and a tangy orange sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Green onions - 4, sliced
- Orange zest - 1 tablespoon
- Broccoli florets - 2 cups
- Bell peppers - 2, sliced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Orange juice - 1/2 cup
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the bell peppers and broccoli florets. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and pour in the orange sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and vegetables.
- Stir in the orange zest and green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
