Matcha Dessert

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha green tea powder and a few tablespoons of milk until smooth.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the remaining milk and the sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Slowly pour the warm milk into the egg yolks, whisking constantly.
  4. Return the mixture to the saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the matcha mixture and the heavy cream.
  6. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  7. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  8. Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
