Mashed Potatoes and Gravy

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, milk, salt, and pepper and mash until smooth.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly whisk in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cook until the gravy is thickened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Serve the mashed potatoes with the gravy on top.
