Masala Chai
A traditional Indian beverage made with black tea, milk, sugar, and a blend of aromatic spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Cloves - 4
- Cardamom pods - 4
- Sugar - 4 tablespoons
- Milk - 2 cups
- Black tea leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 2 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a pot, bring water to a boil.
- Add the tea leaves, cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon stick, and grated ginger to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the milk and sugar to the pot and stir well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil again, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into cups and serve hot.
