Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the almond paste, powdered sugar, egg, and orange blossom water until smooth.
  3. Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter.
  4. Place a spoonful of the almond paste mixture at one end of the phyllo sheet.
  5. Roll the phyllo around the almond paste mixture, tucking in the sides as you go.
  6. Repeat with the remaining phyllo and almond paste mixture, creating a spiral shape.
  7. Brush the top of the pastry with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped almonds.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
