Llagosta a La Americana
A traditional Catalan dish, Llagosta a la Americana is a delicious lobster stew cooked with tomatoes, onions, and brandy.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Fish stock - 2 cups
- Brandy - 1/2 cup
- Tomatoes - 4, peeled and chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lobster - 2 whole
Let's Get Started
- Cut the lobsters into pieces and sauté in olive oil until they turn red.
- Remove the lobster pieces and set aside.
- In the same oil, sauté the onions and garlic until they are soft.
- Add the tomatoes and cook until they are soft.
- Add the brandy and let it reduce by half.
- Return the lobster pieces to the pan and add the fish stock.
- Season with salt and pepper and let it simmer for about 45 minutes.
- Serve the lobster with the sauce on top.
