Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Green onions - 2, thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Chicken wings - 2 pounds
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, and sliced green onions to make the marinade.
- Place the chicken wings in a large ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the wings. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off, and place them in the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Sear the chicken wings for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken wings are cooked through and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with additional sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
