Israeli Turkish Coffee
Israeli Turkish coffee is a rich and aromatic coffee beverage traditionally prepared in a cezve (small pot) and served in small cups.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Cardamom - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Sugar - 1-2 teaspoons (optional)
- Turkish coffee - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- Pour water into a cezve (small pot) and place it over medium heat.
- Add Turkish coffee and sugar (if desired) to the cezve.
- Stir the mixture until the coffee and sugar are dissolved.
- If using cardamom, add it to the cezve and stir.
- Bring the coffee to a boil. As it starts to boil, you will see a foam forming on top.
- Remove the cezve from heat and let it sit for a few seconds to allow the foam to settle.
- Return the cezve to heat and bring it to a boil again. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
- Pour the coffee into small cups, making sure to distribute the foam evenly.
- Allow the coffee to settle for a minute before serving.
