Istanbul Iced Coffee
This refreshing Istanbul iced coffee is a traditional Turkish coffee served over ice with a hint of cardamom.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Milk (optional) - 1/4 cup
- Ice cubes - 1 cup
- Cardamom - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sugar - 2 teaspoons
- Water - 1 cup
- Ground turkish coffee - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- In a small pot, combine the ground Turkish coffee, water, sugar, and cardamom.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once it boils, remove from heat and let it sit for a minute to allow the coffee grounds to settle.
- Pour the coffee mixture into a coffee pot or a cup, leaving the settled grounds behind.
- Fill two glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the hot coffee over the ice cubes, filling the glasses about 3/4 full.
- If desired, add a splash of milk to each glass and stir gently.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
