Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the marinade.
  2. Place the whale steaks in the marinade and let them sit for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible.
  3. Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.
  4. Cook the steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  5. In the meantime, boil the potatoes until they're soft. Drain them and mash them with the cream, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and let it simmer for a few minutes until it thickens into a sauce.
  7. Serve the whale steaks with the mashed potatoes and drizzle the sauce on top.
