Grilled Ham and Cheese with Tomatoes
This grilled ham and cheese sandwich is taken to the next level with the addition of juicy tomatoes.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cheddar cheese slices - 4
- Ham slices - 4
- Bread slices - 4
Let's Get Started
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet or griddle.
- Layer each slice with a slice of ham, a slice of cheddar cheese, and tomato slices.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom bread is golden brown.
- Flip the sandwiches and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the other side is golden brown.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a minute before serving.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve hot.
