Let's Get Started

  1. In a large pot, combine the red wine, cloves, cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, orange slices, and lemon slices.
  2. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally, until it is hot but not boiling.
  3. Add the raisins, almonds, sugar, and vodka to the pot.
  4. Continue to heat the mixture for another 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and strain the glogg to remove the spices and fruit slices.
  6. Serve the glogg warm in mugs or glasses, garnished with additional orange slices or cinnamon sticks if desired.
