Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel the quinces, cut them in half and remove the cores. Place the quince halves in a baking dish.
  3. In each quince hollow, put a clove and sprinkle with sugar. Pour the water and lemon juice over the quinces.
  4. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 1 hour, or until the quinces are soft and the syrup is thick.
  5. Let the quinces cool in the syrup, then serve with a dollop of thick cream or a sprinkle of ground walnuts.
