- Vegetable oil - 1/2 cup
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Cornmeal - 1 cup
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Green tomatoes - 4 medium, sliced
