Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the fish, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 4 patties.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Toast the hamburger buns.
  4. Spread a tablespoon of tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a fish patty, and a slice of tomato. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  5. Serve the fish burgers immediately, with extra tartar sauce on the side if desired.
