Fig and Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
This elegant appetizer features fresh asparagus spears wrapped in salty prosciutto and sweet figs.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Balsamic glaze - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh figs - 8
- Prosciutto - 8 slices
- Asparagus - 16 spears
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim the woody ends of the asparagus spears.
- Wrap each asparagus spear with a slice of prosciutto, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
- Cut the figs in half lengthwise.
- Place the wrapped asparagus spears and fig halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the prosciutto is crispy.
