Fig and Almond Tart

Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine the all-purpose flour, almond flour, granulated sugar, and cold cubed butter. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the food processor and pulse until the dough comes together.
  4. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and roll it out into a circle that will fit into a tart pan.
  5. Place the rolled-out dough into the tart pan and press it gently to fit the shape of the pan. Trim any excess dough.
  6. Arrange the sliced figs on top of the dough in a decorative pattern.
  7. Drizzle the honey over the figs and sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the figs are soft.
  9. Allow the tart to cool before serving. Serve it as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
