  1. In a bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, five spice powder, and sesame oil.
  2. Add the spare ribs to the bowl and toss to coat in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
