Chinese BBQ Spare Ribs
These Chinese BBQ Spare Ribs are marinated in a sweet and savory sauce, then grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Five spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Honey - 1/4 cup
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Hoisin sauce - 1/2 cup
- Spare ribs - 2 pounds
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, five spice powder, and sesame oil.
- Add the spare ribs to the bowl and toss to coat in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium heat.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade, reserving the marinade for basting.
- Grill the ribs for about 30 minutes, turning and basting with the marinade occasionally, until they are cooked through and charred in spots.
