Chicken Shawarma Salad
This Chicken Shawarma Salad is packed with fresh vegetables, tender and flavorful chicken, and a delicious tahini dressing.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Tahini - 1/4 cup
- Parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Tomatoes - 2, diced
- Cucumber - 1, diced
- Romaine lettuce - 1 head, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Shawarma spice blend - 2 tablespoons
- Chicken breasts - 2, boneless and skinless
Let's Get Started
- Season the chicken breasts with the shawarma spice blend, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 7 minutes per side. Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it into strips.
- In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and parsley.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper. If the dressing is too thick, add a little water to thin it out.
- Add the chicken to the salad and drizzle with the tahini dressing. Toss to combine and serve.
