Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth.
  3. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture is thickened and bubbly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
  5. Arrange half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes.
  6. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cheese sauce.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  8. After 1 hour, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
