Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes
These creamy, cheesy scalloped potatoes are perfect for any meal and are super easy to make.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Cheddar cheese - 2 cups, shredded
- Milk - 2 cups
- Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 1/4 cup
- Potatoes - 6 medium, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture is thickened and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
- Arrange half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cheese sauce.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
