Broccoli and Carrot Stir Fry
This healthy and flavorful stir fry is made with fresh broccoli and carrots, sautéed in a delicious sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Carrots - 2 large, thinly sliced
- Broccoli - 1 head, cut into florets
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and sliced carrots to the skillet. Stir fry for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the vegetables in the skillet. Stir well to coat the vegetables evenly.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the vegetables are coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
