Bok Choy and Shrimp Wonton Soup
This delicious soup features homemade shrimp wontons and fresh bok choy in a flavorful broth.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Green onions - 2, thinly sliced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Chicken broth - 4 cups
- Bok choy - 4 baby bok choy, chopped
- Wonton wrappers - 24 wrappers
- Shrimp - 1/2 pound, peeled and deveined
Let's Get Started
- In a food processor, combine the shrimp, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Pulse until well combined.
- Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water and fold in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the wontons and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- Add the bok choy and green onions to the pot and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the bok choy is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
