Beef Stir Fry
This beef stir fry is a delicious and quick meal made with tender beef, colorful vegetables, and a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 4, sliced
- Carrots - 2, julienned
- Bell peppers - 2, sliced
- Broccoli florets - 2 cups
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, marinate the beef slices with soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Set aside.
- Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the marinated beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet and stir in the green onions.
- Pour the cornstarch slurry over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the beef stir fry hot with steamed rice or noodles.
