Beef Brisket Noodles

Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 4, sliced
- Egg noodles - 400 grams
- Beef broth - 4 cups
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Star anise - 2
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, minced
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/2 cup
- Beef brisket - 1 kg, cut into chunks
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, combine the beef brisket, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, star anise, cinnamon stick, and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- In a separate pot, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Once the beef is tender, remove the star anise and cinnamon stick from the pot. Stir in the sesame oil.
- Divide the noodles among four bowls. Top with the beef and broth, then garnish with the sliced green onions. Serve hot.
