Beef and Bell Pepper Stir Fry
This delicious beef and bell pepper stir fry is packed with flavor and perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Bell peppers - 2 large, thinly sliced
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add beef slices and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion and garlic. Stir fry for 2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add bell peppers and continue to stir fry for another 2-3 minutes, until peppers are slightly tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir fry for an additional 2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
