  2. In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  6. Add the mashed bananas to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  11. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
