Bamboo
This delicious bamboo shoot stir-fry is packed with flavors and textures. It's a perfect side dish or vegetarian main course.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Bamboo shoots - 2 cups, sliced
Let's Get Started
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add sliced bamboo shoots and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bamboo shoots are tender and coated with the sauce.
- Remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish or with steamed rice as a main course.
