Acre Arab Coffee
Arabic coffee, also known as Qahwa Arabiyya, is a traditional Middle Eastern coffee made with cardamom and served in small cups.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sugar - Optional, to taste
- Water - 2 cups
- Cardamom pods - 4 pods, crushed
- Arabic coffee beans - 1/4 cup
Let's Get Started
- Grind the Arabic coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency.
- In a coffee pot or small saucepan, add the crushed cardamom pods and water.
- Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
- Add the ground coffee to the boiling water and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the pot from heat and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the coffee grounds to settle.
- Pour the Arabic coffee into small cups, leaving the coffee grounds at the bottom of the pot.
- Serve the Arabic coffee hot and optionally sweeten with sugar according to taste.
