Wonton Soup

A comforting and delicious soup made with homemade wontons, chicken broth, and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Shiitake mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
  • Bok choy - 2 cups, chopped
  • Chicken broth - 8 cups
  • Wonton wrappers - 50 pieces
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions - 4, chopped
  • Ground pork - 1/2 pound

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper over the filling and seal the edges.
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  4. Add the wontons to the pot and cook for 5 minutes, or until they float to the top.
  5. Add the bok choy and mushrooms to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve the soup hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
