This delicious wonton soup is made with homemade wontons filled with ground pork and served in a flavorful broth.

Ingredients

  • Cilantro - For garnish
  • Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon (optional)
  • Bok choy - 2 cups, chopped
  • Chicken broth - 4 cups
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Wonton wrappers - 24
  • Ground pork - 1/2 pound

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the wontons and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
  4. Add the bok choy to the pot and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until wilted.
  5. If desired, add sriracha sauce for some extra heat.
  6. Serve the wonton soup hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
