Western Omelet

Western Omelet

A classic Western omelet filled with ham, bell peppers, onions, and cheese.

Ingredients

  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup, shredded
  • Onion - 1/4 cup, diced
  • Bell peppers - 1/2 cup, diced
  • Ham - 1/2 cup, diced
  • Eggs - 4

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced ham, bell peppers, and onion to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the beaten eggs over the cooked vegetables and ham in the skillet.
  5. Cook the omelet for 2-3 minutes, or until the edges start to set.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over one half of the omelet.
  7. Using a spatula, fold the other half of the omelet over the cheese.
  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through.
  9. Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve hot.
