Vermeer's Vanilla Macchiato

A delicious and creamy vanilla macchiato inspired by the famous Dutch painter, Vermeer.

Ingredients

  • Caramel sauce - For drizzling
  • Whipped cream - For topping
  • Vanilla syrup - 2 tablespoons
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Espresso - 1 shot

Instructions

  1. Brew a shot of espresso and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla syrup.
  4. Using a milk frother or whisk, froth the milk until creamy and foamy.
  5. Pour the frothed milk into a mug, leaving a little room at the top.
  6. Slowly pour the espresso shot over the frothed milk, allowing it to create a layered effect.
  7. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
