Turkish Kebab Wraps

These Turkish kebab wraps are filled with juicy marinated meat, fresh vegetables, and a tangy yogurt sauce.

Ingredients

  • Pita bread - 4 rounds
  • Fresh parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Red onion - 1, thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 1, thinly sliced
  • Cucumber - 1, thinly sliced
  • Greek yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Ground paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lamb or beef - 1 lb, thinly sliced
  • Boneless chicken thighs - 1 lb, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced chicken thighs and lamb or beef to the marinade. Mix well to coat the meat. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated meat for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with a squeeze of lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
  5. Warm the pita bread rounds on the grill or in a toaster for a few seconds on each side.
  6. Spread a generous amount of the yogurt sauce on each pita bread round.
  7. Place a few slices of cooked meat on top of the yogurt sauce.
  8. Add cucumber, tomato, red onion, and fresh parsley on top of the meat.
  9. Fold the sides of the pita bread over the filling and roll it up tightly.
  10. Serve the Turkish kebab wraps immediately and enjoy!
