Tuna Pasta

This delicious tuna pasta is made with canned tuna, pasta, and a flavorful tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Crushed tomatoes - 1 can (14 ounces)
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1, finely chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Canned tuna - 2 cans, drained
  • Pasta - 8 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the drained tuna to the sauce and stir to combine.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the sauce.
  8. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through.
  9. Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
