Pasta Alla Vodka

This creamy and flavorful pasta dish is made with a rich vodka sauce and served with your choice of pasta.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
  • Tomato sauce - 1 cup
  • Vodka - 1/4 cup
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1, finely chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Pasta - 12 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the vodka to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly with the sauce.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped basil before serving.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
