This flavorful tandoori tuna recipe features marinated tuna steaks grilled to perfection with a blend of aromatic spices.

Ingredients

  • Lemon wedges - For serving
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Tandoori masala - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Yogurt - 1/4 cup
  • Tuna steaks - 2 (6-ounce) steaks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Coat the steaks evenly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the tuna steaks from the marinade and brush off any excess. Drizzle the vegetable oil over the steaks.
  5. Grill the tuna steaks for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Remove the tuna steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lemon wedges.
