These flavorful tandoori chicken drumsticks are marinated in a blend of yogurt and spices, then grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Lemon wedges - 4 (for serving)
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Chicken drumsticks - 8

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and salt. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken drumsticks to the marinade and coat them evenly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken drumsticks from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off.
  5. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the chicken drumsticks on the grill and cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice charred exterior.
  7. Remove the drumsticks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lemon wedges.
