Tandoori Trout

This flavorful tandoori trout is marinated in a blend of spices and yogurt, then grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Lemon wedges - For serving
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Greek yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Trout fillets - 2

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and salt. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Place the trout fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fillets are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the trout fillets from the marinade and shake off any excess. Brush both sides of the fillets with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the fillets on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the trout from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
