Tandoori Squid

This flavorful tandoori squid recipe features tender squid marinated in a blend of aromatic spices and grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Lemon wedges - For serving
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Greek yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Squid - 1 pound, cleaned and sliced into rings

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, paprika, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and salt. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced squid to the marinade and toss until well coated. Cover the bowl and let the squid marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated squid onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Place the squid skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the squid is opaque and slightly charred.
  6. Remove the squid skewers from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  7. Serve the tandoori squid hot with lemon wedges on the side.
