Surf and Turf

This surf and turf recipe combines the best of both worlds with juicy steak and succulent shrimp.

Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Shrimp - 8 large, peeled and deveined
  • Steak - 2 (8 oz) filet mignon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or grill pan to high heat.
  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  4. Brush the garlic mixture onto the steak and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  5. Grill the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  6. While the steak is grilling, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
  8. Remove the steak and shrimp from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes.
  9. Slice the steak and serve it alongside the shrimp.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
