Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

This delicious spinach and mushroom quiche is made with a flaky crust, creamy filling, and flavorful vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Eggs - 4
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
  • Spinach - 2 cups, fresh or frozen
  • Pie crust - 1, store-bought or homemade

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and cook until softened.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and become tender.
  5. Add the spinach and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  7. Spread the spinach and mushroom mixture evenly over the pie crust.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the crust is golden brown.
  11. Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
