Shrimp Scampi Linguine

Ingredients

  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • White wine - 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 4 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined
  • Linguine - 8 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.
  5. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the shrimp scampi sauce.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
