Sausage Sandwich

This delicious sausage sandwich is made with grilled sausages, caramelized onions, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Hoagie rolls - 2
  • Provolone cheese - 4 slices
  • Bell peppers - 1, thinly sliced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Onion - 1, thinly sliced
  • Italian sausages - 4

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Grill the sausages for about 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise.
  6. Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each roll and mayonnaise on the other side.
  7. Place a slice of provolone cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
  8. Place a grilled sausage on top of the cheese.
  9. Top the sausages with the caramelized onions and bell peppers.
  10. Close the sandwiches with the top halves of the rolls.
  11. Serve the sausage sandwiches warm and enjoy!
