Poke Bowls

A fresh and flavorful Hawaiian dish featuring marinated raw fish, rice, and a variety of toppings.

Ingredients

  • Cooked rice - 2 cups
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Seaweed salad - 1/2 cup
  • Edamame - 1/2 cup, steamed
  • Carrot - 1, julienned
  • Cucumber - 1, thinly sliced
  • Avocado - 1, sliced
  • Green onions - 2, thinly sliced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sushi - grade tuna - 8 ounces, cubed

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
  2. Add the cubed tuna to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare the toppings by slicing the green onions, avocado, cucumber, and julienned carrot.
  4. Steam the edamame according to package instructions.
  5. To assemble the poke bowls, divide the cooked rice between two bowls.
  6. Top the rice with the marinated tuna, sliced avocado, cucumber, carrot, edamame, and seaweed salad.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for added flavor and garnish with additional green onions.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
