  • Ground beef - 1 pound
  • Egg - 1

  • Milk - 1 cup, warm
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Active dry yeast - 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • All - purpose flour - 3 cups

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a small circle.
  7. Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal. Place the filled pirozhki on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the pirozhki with the beaten egg wash.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
