Ingredients

  • Lettuce - 1 cup, shredded
  • Tostada shells - 8
  • Black pepper - To taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Jalapeno - 1, seeded and finely chopped
  • Avocado - 1, diced
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Red onion - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
  • Tomatoes - 2 medium, diced
  • Lime juice - 1/2 cup
  • Shrimp - 1/2 pound, peeled and deveined
  • White fish fillets - 1 pound, diced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the diced fish, shrimp, lime juice, tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, avocado, jalapeno, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  3. Heat the tostada shells in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5 minutes, or until crispy.
  4. To assemble, spread a layer of shredded lettuce on each tostada shell.
  5. Top with a generous amount of the ceviche mixture.
